About Us
Onyx Logistics Group LLC (O.L.G)was originally formed in 2016 as Hines Hotshot Services, LLC. Hines Hotshot Services, LLC was operating solely in the United States as a Hot Shot transportation business with the centered focus of transporting fabricated steel to multiple companies. In 2019, its co-owners, Darlenzo and Jonille Hines, ceased its operations to embark on a career change as DOS contractors working at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. The combined experiences of owning a small business in Transportation and Logistics, career backgrounds, and the experience abroad as contractors, provided us with a dream to dive into the world of Small Business Government Contracting. Darlenzo and Jonille returned to the U.S in 2020 and amended Hines Logistics Group, LLC to Onyx Logistics Group, LLC (O.L.G) on February 20, 2020
O.L.G is now a certified Woman-Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran owned and Minority-Owned small business with a primary focus to provide a suite of services both domestically and internationally. Since joining the field of government contracting, O.L.G is continuing to grow, face challenges, and seek continuous improvements to become a fierce competitor in the industry. O.L.G has expanded from two members to multiple individuals whose vast experience encompasses a multitude of backgrounds that covers Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Recruiting, Fuels, Government Contracting, Procurement, Compliance, and a variety of past career performances. Collectively, the O.L.G team has experience working with DOS and DOD both in CONUS and OCONUS settings with an emphasis of working in the Middle East countries.
O.L.G has an unquenchable appetite to seek success in the Government Contracting world by cultivating our business relationships, growing our strategic partner connections, and becoming a reputable company who others would want to do business. We are a business with transparency in mind, which means we are a young company who is eager to learn from others in the industry. We believe this is what will lead us towards a successful future. We have only just begun!
MEET THE OWNERS
Darlenzo R. Hines Sr.
Darlenzo, Vice President/Co-Owner, is a Military retiree who served 20 years collectively in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. He performed various roles in the Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations space, and proudly recruited many of our current military members in both the Marine and Army branches. In 2015, Darlenzo began forging relationships with various transportation and steel companies, and in 2016 became a Co-Owner of Hines Hotshot Services, LLC, where he delivered fabricated steel to multiple companies in various states. In 2017, he started government contracting abroad as an Administrative Logistics Security Specialist (ALSS) and Materials Manager, and in 2020 would join his spouse by owning their own Government Contracting business. Darlenzo’s ability to forge extensive relationships with a host of individuals and companies across the world has afforded him a rolodex of vital connections. He shares in the vision with his wife to to fill the space as a Woman-Owned, SDVOSB and Minority Owned small Government Contracting business. Darlenzo feels strongly that O.L.G will be a formidable force by building relationship, networking and evolving into a company that will be mighty.
Darlenzo holds a M.S. in Project Mgmt & B.S. in Business Mgmt and a Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA).
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, friends, traveling, and more importantly – FISHING!
Jonille A. Hines
Jonille “Jo,”, President/Co-Owner, started her career as an Administrative Specialist/Postal Operations in the Army. She continued her career with Experian for 22 years filling various positions such as Fraud Specialty Supervisor, Compliance Analyst, Risk Mitigation, and Fraud Investigations. In 2016, she became a Co-Owner with her spouse of Hines Hotshot Services, LLC, where she juggled a side career into learning the world of Logistics. In 2019, she made a career change and started government contracting abroad as an Administrative Logistics Security Specialist (ALSS), and returned in 2020 where she and her spouse opened their own business and occupy the space as a Woman-Owned, SDVOSB and Minority Owned small business as a Government Contractor. This new journey is an exciting, quick-paced, environment that will afford her the opportunity where she’s associated with the Veterans who have served and allows her the chance to branch out all around the world in support of contracts. Not to mention she’s excited to meet people of all cultural backgrounds.
Jo holds a M.S. in Administration of Justice and Security, a B.S. in Business Mgmt, Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) , a Certificate in Operations and Supply Chain Management, CompTia Security+ certification and is currently seeking additional certs in Cybersecurity.
Jo enjoys her family , friends, socializing, traveling, and writing her autobiography.
